Yoga and Walking Retreat

September 5th - September 8th 2022 inclusive

After the amazing success and positive feedback from the retreat held in April 2022, we are returning again - same place, in September.

Join Cat and Amy for a 4 day (3 nights) yoga, meditation and walking retreat (with open sea swimming) to celebrate the coming of autumn.

Imagine doing your Sun Salutations on the side of a mountain cliff-top overlooking the sea as the sun sets with a small group of like minded Yogis...

If you’re in need of a rejuvenating break then take a few days away to walk through some of the world’s most beautiful scenery in the landscape of North Wales.

This yoga holiday will include mornings and evenings of Yoga and Meditation, afternoon guided walks in the beautiful mountains, and Coastal Paths of The Llyn Peninsula with stunning views and being totally immersed in nature and history. Enjoy delicious, home cooked vegetarian meals.

The location of the yoga centre retreat is in the picturesque village of Nant Gwrtheyrn (known affectionately as 'The Nant' to locals) nestled at the base of a very long steep slope under the mountain backdrop overlooking the dramatic sea and staggering cliffs.

The northern coast of the beautiful Llŷn Peninsula overlooks Porthdinllaen Bay. A truly magical location, the former quarry village of Nant Gwrtheyrn provides the perfect setting for your retreat.

With its own private mile long beach, chapel, a variety of yoga space and breakout rooms and 5* (Visit Wales) group accommodation, it has all the required facilities to make your stay a truly memorable occasion.

The high standard of service, excellent food and drink along with magnificent coastal views, make the magical and unique village of Nant Gwrtheyrn the ideal place to relax and recharge and to make new friends.

The venue is truly stunning and seeped in Welsh history.

All of the rooms are en suite and there are multiple bedroom options providing accommodation for up to 30 people. All are comfortable, uncluttered and tastefully furnished. The majority have sea or mountain views. All have free Wi-Fi, a desk space and tea and coffee making facilities.

The food is vegetarian and is of such quality that even dedicated meat eaters can be fully satisfied by it. This is achieved because the chefs understand that if you are not naturally a vegetarian being faced with a meatless diet can seem daunting

The chefs are skilled at creating really tasty, readily digestible dishes that are always freshly home cooked and nutritious. The emphasis is on fresh and seasonal produce, using locally-grown whenever this is possible.

They are also very experienced in creatively meeting a wide range of essential dietary needs including vegan, gluten-free and many others relating to significant health issues such food allergies, coeliac disease etc.

You will serve yourselves from a buffet-style table, ensuring you get what you like and the quantity you want. No one need ever go hungry.

There is also a café onsite with a small shop which sell great gifts to take home.

The Yoga and Meditation sessions will be taught by Cat and Amy and will include fun Activations, Energy Block Releases, Flowing Sequences, Pranayama, Deep Relaxations, Prana Kriyas, Meditation and Spiritual Guidance.

The walks will be around 2-4 hours long, including breaks, and will take you to mountains, quarries, and the sea. You’ll also enjoy de-stressing relaxation sessions and optional therapies like Hypnotherapy and Reiki to help you to relax and recharge. There will also be a beautiful sound healing Gong Bath. And a few new surprise activities for 2022.

This holiday is from Monday morning until early Thursday afternoon and is suitable for people of good fitness levels. For overseas guests it’s an ideal introduction to the beauty of North Wales.

Reviews from April 2022 Retreat:

''Just wanted to email you to say thank you once again for such a lovely retreat.  I really enjoyed it and it left me feeling floaty relaxed and peaceful despite the long drive home!  I enjoyed all the yoga and Qigong, the company was excellent and you two worked really hard to make sure we all had a wonderful time. Many thanks to Ken and his wife as well  for the lovely walk and never making anyone feel that they were slow or were holding things up.
The little cottage rooms were a delight, and the history of the place is fascinating - I'll be back again.'' Anne-Marie

''Dearest Cat and Amy,
A note of gratitude for the wonderful week we spent with you in North Wales in April 2022.
Your itinerary was very well planned, and the location was superb. The variety of yoga, qi gong and meditation were balm to the body and soul. The guided walks, sea-swimming and magnificent scenery will remain with us as very happy memories.
Another factor was the excellent and varied company. The group gelled so well despite our very varied backgrounds.
A heartfelt thank you !'' Alan and Arjie
''A big thank you to Cat and Amy for the work, care and commitment they put in to ensure everyone was able to get the most out of their time on the retreat.
The excellently taught classes were well balanced by me-time and the outdoor activities.
I learnt a lot about myself and my abilities during the retreat and returned home energised and confident. I have also maintained my daily yoga and meditation practice at home.
So thank you and please put my name on the list for the next retreat you organise.'' Pam
